Machine Operator (Experienced in Food Processing)
Location: Edenton, NC
Department: Production
Pay: $20.50/hour

Job Summary

The Machine Operatorposition supports multiple production roles and is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used in peanut processing. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with production start-up and shutdown; set and adjust equipment controls to meet product specifications
• Perform quality checks throughout the shift to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
• Accurately record process data for each production lot in a timely manner
• Maintain clean, neat, and legible documentation
• Clean equipment and work areas throughout the shift and at shift change
• Report equipment issues, shutdowns, or product quality concerns to supervisors
• Support efforts to ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications
• Work in environments that may include outdoor conditions, dust, fumes, and moving mechanical parts
• Follow all GMP, sanitation, safety, and food safety (HACCP/FMSA) guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of related production or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
