Engineer Embedded Software 3

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Engineer in Chandler, Arizona for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite position supports embedded software development for launch systems programs in a real-time environment. The role includes requirements development, architecture, detailed design, coding, unit testing, and integration activities within a collaborative multi-discipline engineering team.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or a related field
• Object-oriented software development experience in C/C++ on a Linux environment
• Experience in embedded real-time software development, debugging, and testing
• Experience with real-time operating systems such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or similar RTOS environments
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Active DoD Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PowerPC, ARM, and/or RISC-V architectures
• Experience with design, integration, and testing in real-time computer-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test labs
• Experience developing interfaces to support weapon system integration efforts

What Youll Do

• Support requirements development, architecture development, detailed design, coding, unit testing, and integration and test of real-time embedded software
• Ensure software standards are met throughout development activities
• Work within a collaborative multi-discipline team environment
• Contribute to embedded software solutions supporting launch systems programs
• Support debug, test, and integration efforts for real-time computing environments

Pay

• $90.00/hour
