PGS Worldwide is seeking an RF Test and Development Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite role supports the development, integration, and testing of RF and digital production hardware in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position focuses on hands-on troubleshooting, yield improvement, test development, and cross-functional support to help maintain technical performance and delivery schedules.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a masters degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field with 0 years of experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics, and block diagrams
  • Experience with RF hardware and software
  • Experience using RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
  • Current active DoD Secret clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree in engineering or related STEM discipline
  • Experience with FPGA
  • Experience with LabWindows CVI, C, or C++
  • TestStand programming experience
  • Experience with digital, analog, and RF test equipment
  • Knowledge of RF theory and high-speed digital systems
  • Experience with differential digital interfaces such as LVDS
  • PXI/PXIe and VME bus experience
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware

What Youll Do

  • Design, develop, and implement test methods and test equipment
  • Troubleshoot and support RF and digital hardware
  • Support hardware deliveries and first-time-through test yield performance
  • Analyze test data and identify early failure trends
  • Define changes needed to test equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, and test requirements
  • Partner with design engineering to implement hardware improvements and corrective actions
  • Support technicians through troubleshooting and training
  • Monitor product yields and report issues, findings, and corrective actions in program meetings
  • Interface with manufacturing, production, design, systems, and program teams
