The Audit Manager will lead financial statement audit engagements, overseeing multiple client teams and ensuring high-quality, on-budget delivery. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to build client relationships while driving engagement success.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple financial statement audit engagements simultaneously
- Oversee engagement teams to ensure audits are completed on time and within budget
- Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding engagement progress and expectations
- Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit issues
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff and senior associates
- Support business development and proposal activities
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on business and operational improvements
- Participate in recruiting and networking events
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards
- Travel as needed (~25%)
- Active CPA license (required)
- Minimum 1+ year experience at Manager level
- Prior public accounting experience
- Strong experience in financial statement audits
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards
- Proven experience managing multiple audit engagements
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills
- Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills
- Strong communication and client management skills
- PCAOB audit experience (preferred)
- Experience with mid-to-large public accounting firms
- Exposure to audit automation and digitization tools
- Leadership and team development
- Client relationship management
