Key Responsibilities:
- Cabling: Run, terminate, and test CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables according to industry standards.
- Sound masking installation
- Drilling and Mounting: Drill and securely mount speakers and other equipment as required.
- Ladder Work: Safely work on ladders to install and maintain equipment at heights.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including cable runs, installations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Dress and route cable into IT closets, modular furniture, and other work area outlets.
- Cable pathway installation (J-hooks, D-rings, cable trays, and ladder racks).
- Cable management (dressing, labeling).
- Cable Termination (Patch Panel, Jacks, Keystones, RJ-45/Modular Plug).
- IT Closet Builds (MDF, IDF, Data rack, ladder rack, cable tray, sleeve installation)
- Read and follow blueprints set for installation.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Experience: Proven experience in running CAT 5 and CAT 6 cables, and installing network hardware.
- Tools: Must provide own tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work on ladders and over head
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of cabling infrastructure.
- AV & Security installation experience is helpful.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Communication: Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety practices related to working with electrical equipment, ladders, and power tools.
