JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $26.00 - $26.75 per hour

Shift: Full Time Day Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload metal roofing, components, and building systems to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer.

• Safely assist in the unloading of the product using a Moffett to customers location and/ or return products
• Deliver material in route truck/multi-drop fashion to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to appropriate contact
• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Other general warehouse duties will be expected during non-delivery times. This will include loading customers, warehouse maintenance, and various production tasks.
