Qualifications:- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration (Accounting, Management or Finance), Construction Management or related field. Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.
- 10 years of heavy civil construction experienceinNewYork metro area.
- Experience with alternative delivery contracts including but not limited to CMAR, Design-Build, CMGC, Progressive Design-Build, P3, etc. preferred
- Must be willing to workProject siteswill belocatedin the New Yorkmetro areaand/or Northeast, so relocation and/or travelarerequired.
- Experience supervising multipleproject engineers.
- Heavycivilconstruction background/experiencemanaging diverseprojectsincluding but not limitedto bridges, underground, transit, and other types of heavy civil infrastructure
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Safety-oriented, 10-hourand 30-hour OSHA certificates are preferred.
- Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Ability to function as a team-builder/player.
- Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providingthe communication,coordinationand follow-up necessary to meet the project goals andobjectives.
- Directly responsibletosenior management.
- Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
- Coordinates training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
- Ensuresscope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, includingclient.
- Determines, controls, andmaintainsoverall project and discipline schedules and budgets.
- Tracks schedule and budget progress with project milestones and takes allactionnecessary to keepprojecton track.
- Identifiesand secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope,budgetand/or schedule.
- Maintains ongoing training and mentoring ofprojectteam.
- Maintains ongoing communication withclient,makingadjustmentsasnecessary tocomply withclient'sneeds within contractual obligations, or adjusting project deliverables to meet the client and Barnardsneeds.
