We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Serverless Developer / Cloud API Engineer with strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies, serverless architecture, and microservices development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable cloud-native APIs and services using AWS serverless components and API management platforms.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, Microservices architecture, and API development, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy serverless applications and components on AWS cloud platform.
  • Build and deliver APIs end-to-end including planning, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Develop and deploy API policies using Apigee Edge Platform.
  • Implement API-first design strategies and best practices for scalable service development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and performance optimization.
  • Design and develop cloud-native microservices and serverless infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Develop event-driven architectures leveraging AWS services and messaging patterns.
  • Build and maintain JavaScript/TypeScript-based backend services and APIs.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards related to logging, authentication, monitoring, security, exception handling, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, story sizing, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
  • Communicate technical risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery expectations effectively with stakeholders and product teams.
  • Research, recommend, and implement new cloud-native technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous learning initiatives within the team.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of software development experience with strong cloud engineering background.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including:
    • AWS Lambda
    • API Gateway
    • DynamoDB
    • SNS
    • SQS
    • S3
    • CloudWatch
  • Strong experience developing Microservices and Serverless REST APIs.
  • Experience with Node.js runtime and JavaScript/TypeScript application development.
  • Experience building scalable and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong understanding of API lifecycle management and API-first development strategies.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability solutions in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Apigee Edge Platform.
  • AWS Certification(s) preferred.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools).
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
