Electrical Engineer
Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Location: Phoenix, AZ
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's growing team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you'll support a variety of facility and building design projects while collaborating within a highly interactive, multi-disciplinary engineering environment. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of assigned engineering tasks. You'll gain familiarity with project scope, budgets, schedules, and client expectations while proactively recognizing and communicating scope or design changes. You'll also provide on-site assistance during startup activities and coordinate closely with project staff and discipline leads.
Your work will include developing:
- Installation details
- Single-line diagrams
- Electrical room layouts
- Motor control elementaries
- Connection diagrams
- Cable schedules
- Control panel layouts
- Grounding, lighting, and power plans

Responsibilities
- Perform electrical engineering design and coordination for facility and infrastructure projects
- Produce and review electrical drawings, calculations, and specifications
- Coordinate engineering activities with multi-disciplinary project teams
- Support project execution by maintaining schedule and technical quality expectations
- Identify and communicate scope changes and design impacts in a timely manner
- Participate in startup and field support activities as needed
- Assist with construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field observations
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and engineering teams throughout project execution
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
- Minimum of 6 years of electrical engineering experience
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
- Experience with Services During Construction (SDC) or Construction Administration (CA), including:
- Submittal reviews
- RFI responses
- Design verification walks
- Field observation reports
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
