We are seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer (Owner's Representative) to support high-impact semiconductor manufacturing projects in Boise, ID. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced manufacturing, partnering with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
In this position, you will serve as the technical owner and advocate for electrical scope during the tool installation phase of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will provide engineering and design oversight for final system hookups including power distribution, grounding, and low-voltage communications while helping guide critical technical decisions within a world-class industrial facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and design oversight during installation of semiconductor manufacturing tools
- Review and influence electrical designs related to final power distribution, grounding, and low-voltage system connections
- Develop and review technical specifications for tool installation
- Evaluate vendor submittals and design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes
- Collaborate with facilities teams, construction personnel, equipment vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- 5+ years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
- Experience selecting and specifying electrical equipment and systems
- Proven ability to review vendor submittals against contractual and technical requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 2+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools (design, installation, or cleanroom environments)
- Field experience working directly with subcontractors and construction personnel
- Familiarity with BIM/CAD tools such as Revit or AutoCAD
- Demonstrated initiative with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
