CMM Programmer
Join our client's team as a key player in maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. You'll be responsible for final and in-process inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to various shop activities.
- Interpret blueprints and drawings to meet product specifications.
- Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other measuring equipment.
- Select appropriate inspection methods and perform quality verification of parts and assemblies.
- Analyze defective parts to identify reasons for dimensional variations.
- Act as a point of contact for customer quality-related issues.
- Coordinate gauge calibration and maintain thorough knowledge of ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 standards.
- Develop manufacturing quality plans and perform AS/ISO audits.
- Issue, monitor, and close Cause and Corrective Actions.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Strong preference for PC-DMIS experience
- A minimum of five years of experience in aerospace quality processing and inspection.
- Preferably, training in Six Sigma and/or lean methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good math skills.
The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and moderate lifting, with exposure to a production environment. Vision abilities such as close vision and focus adjustment are necessary.
