Location: Arden, NC 28704
Pay rate: $17.83/hr
Work schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday (Overtime hours: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM); Strong possibility for overtime, including 8-hour Saturday shifts and Sunday bonus opportunities.
Overview
The Warehouse Associate I is a key contributor to ensuring corporate products are safely handled, organized, and delivered to customers. This role utilizes various material handling equipment (such as pallet jacks, forklifts, stock pickers, and reach trucks) to move inventory, restock storage areas, and accurately build customer orders for transport. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the associate ensures all shipping numbers match, paperwork is handled correctly, and safety policies are meticulously followed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Order Building: Accurately build customer orders for shipment on a repetitive basis. Ensure the correct quantity and product type are packed, sorted, marked, and moved to shipping areas.

Material Handling & Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, stock pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. Conduct daily inspections, perform minor equipment maintenance, and handle battery charging or swapping.

Freight Operations: Perform efficient loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight trucks.

Inventory & Storage: Move product to designated storage areas and efficiently stack or store items. Assist with physical inventory counts and labeling, sorting, strapping, or repacking assets.

Quality Control: Meticulously check and count products for damage or numerical discrepancies. Package and weigh orders securely to ensure goods arrive at customer locations in optimal condition.

Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, orderly, and highly organized work area to promote a continuous safety culture.
Must Have Skills / Requirements

Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrated ability or formal training to safely operate a forklift, stock picker, reach truck, and pallet jack. Comfort working around elevated storage heights.

Mathematical & Literacy Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple instructions in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide manually or with a handheld calculator.

Problem Solving: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions and resolve localized job problems using basic troubleshooting skills.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, or crouch for the full duration of a shift (minimum 8 hours). Ability to frequently and repetitively lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
Education & Experience

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Foundational knowledge of industrial material handling, safety standards, and warehouse operating procedures.
