Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team for a 6-month onsite role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation engineering and be proficient in PLC programming, AC/DC drives, and safety systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficient in PLC programming (ladder logic & structured text)
  • Experience with AC/DC drives, servo motors, HMIs, machine vision, and safety systems
  • Strong project leadership skills, including debugging, installation, equipment commissioning, and training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive mindset for process optimization and problem-solving
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with complex mechanical systems including CAD modeling
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation Control Logix family of programmable controllers, Cognex vision systems, industrial robotics
  • Digital integration leveraging PLC & SCADA systems, including basic understanding of computer networking, TCP/IP, and industrial fieldbus architectures such as Ethernet I/P
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customer factories and contracted suppliers to develop user requirements specifications (URS), automation concepts, and architectural-level designs for automated equipment
  • Participate in end-to-end project execution with external equipment suppliers & integrators, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Design and program industrial control systems such as PLCs, robotics, HMIs, vision systems, motion control systems
  • Actively participate in design reviews and provide technical input to drive engineering decisions
  • Drive the Global Automation engineering teams best practices across project tollgates
