- AWS DevOps
- Kafka Platform Support
- Hardware refresh planning and capacity modeling
- Infrastructure sizing and architecture diagram creation
- Risk register management
- On-prem Kafka cluster implementation and validation
- Performance benchmarking
- Operational documentation and runbook creation
- Monitoring and alert configuration
- Backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) planning
- Knowledge transfer and documentation handoff
- 58 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Kafka platform engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience operating Kafka platforms
- Strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting highly available Kafka clusters
- Experience with Confluent Cloud and AWS MSK
- Expertise in Kafka topics, partitions, quotas, retention policies, and consumer group strategies
- Experience handling Kafka upgrades, patches, and migrations
- Hands-on experience with:
- Kafka Connect
- Schema Registry
- MirrorMaker / Confluent Replicator
- REST Proxy
- Familiarity with Kafka Streams and ksqlDB
- Experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments
- Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance tuning skills

- Design, deploy, and manage highly available Kafka clusters across on-prem and cloud environments
- Support and maintain Kafka platforms using Confluent Cloud or AWS MSK
- Manage Kafka topics, partitions, quotas, retention policies, and consumer groups for optimal performance and cost efficiency
- Implement and manage Kafka ecosystem tools including Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, MirrorMaker, and REST Proxy
- Perform Kafka upgrades, migrations, and patch management activities
- Execute hardware refresh planning, infrastructure sizing, and capacity modeling
- Develop architecture diagrams, operational standards, and technical documentation
- Configure monitoring, alerting, backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide project documentation handoff
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure platform stability and scalability
