Complex Litigation Associate
About the Role:
The Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney role is ideal for a mid-level attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience in business litigation, corporate disputes, and securities matters. This position offers hands-on exposure to complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts, with early responsibility in drafting motions, managing cases, and participating in courtroom proceedings. Responsibilities:
- Handle complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts, including case strategy and execution
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and legal memoranda related to business disputes
- Manage cases involving contract disputes, business torts, and corporate and shareholder conflicts
- Conduct legal research and analysis on commercial, corporate, and securities law issues
- Participate in discovery processes, including depositions, document review, and interrogatories
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy, trial preparation, and client advisement
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
- Maintain strong client communication and provide updates on case developments and legal risks
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission in good standing
- 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial litigation or business litigation at a reputable law firm
- Experience with corporate, commercial, or securities-related legal matters
- Strong legal writing, drafting, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
- Experience practicing in state and federal courts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
