Mechanical Engineering Intern
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will be assigned projects involving the design and development of systems related to industrial power electronics.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on engineering experience on mechanical engineering based projects.
- Work directly with other engineers and professionals in a team environment and see how Toshiba's engineers work together to deliver success.
- Develop your skills under the supervision and guidance of experienced professionals.

Requirements:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Current enrollment in Mechanical Engineering program at an accredited college or university.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to work 40hrs per week at our office located in Northwest Houston, TX.
- Must be a team player and able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
- AutoCAD experience
- 3D CAD experience is a plus, Pro/ENGINEER preferred.
- Mechanical analysis experience and a solid mechanical aptitude.
- Good interpersonal and customer relation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize responsibilities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with personnel from diverse backgrounds.
- Self manage workload and ability to multi-task.
- Strong judgment, planning, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to deal with time sensitive deadlines.
- Perform above duties with attention to safety in both work practices and design.
- Perform above duties with a focus on team work and customer satisfaction.
