Engineer Product I - Electronics SystemsMajor PurposePerforms basic product design, testing and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.Major Duties? Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems.? Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.? Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.? Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.? Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.? Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.? Work collaboratively with other professional teams and over organizational boundaries to ensure service users experience cohesive and seamless support to meet their needs.? Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.? Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.Skills, Abilities, Knowledge? Position Title: Electrical Engineer

Specific Position Requirements: 1st shift: Flexible 7-4 or 8-5. 4 days in the office and 1 remote. To start will be 5 days to help with onboarding.

In this role, you will:
- Design and develop vehicle electrical and electronic (E/E) systems using sound engineering principles
- Collaborate with global, cross functional teams (mechanical, hardware, software, manufacturing, quality, customer support, and suppliers)
- Build and integrate prototype vehicle electrical systems while learning hands on vehicle diagnostics, software bring up, and system troubleshooting
- Contribute to new product development, sustaining engineering, production support, and field support activities

Required:
- One year of experience or equivalent exposure through internships, co-ops, or academic projects related to the design of electrical systems or embedded systems
- Experience using design automation, CAD, Creo, Catia and software development tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Exposure to vehicle electrical systems such as diesel engines, hydraulics, x by wire systems, and in-vehicle communication
- Proficiency with electronic development and diagnostic tools (schematic capture, 3D CAD, and debugging)
- Knowledge of EMC design and application guidelines for vehicle electrical system compliance
- Experience with 60V vehicle architectures and electrification components

Education Details:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Automotive Engineering
