CNC Machinist Operator Second Shift
Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client to hire a CNC Machinist.
Second shift role (3:00 PM 11:00 PM).
This position is ideal for a machinist with hands-on experience operating and setting up multi-axis lathes, particularly Doosan and Okuma turning centers. The right candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality and precision.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including multi-axis lathes
- Run turning operations on Doosan and Okuma CNC equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers and other measuring tools
- Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical or machining issues to maintain production quality
Qualifications
- Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes; multi-axis experience required
- Familiarity with Doosan and/or Okuma turning centers preferred
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Comfortable using calipers and precision measuring instruments
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
