Compliance Advisor
Working together with the Sr. HR Consultant EEO/AA and Sr. Manager, Employee Relations, this role will serve as a subject matter expert and primary liaison for the administration and continuous improvement of the Companys Workplace Accommodations Program and Office of Accessibility initiatives. This position will also support EEO compliance reporting and Affirmative Action Program requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Accommodations Administration (Primary Focus)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for workplace accommodation requests under ADA, PWFA, religious accommodations, lactation accommodations, and applicable NY/NJ laws
- Manage the interactive process from intake through resolution while ensuring legally compliant and employee-focused outcomes
- Draft accommodation-related correspondence including medical inquiry, determination, and denial letters
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and confidential accommodation records
- Partner with HR, managers, and legal counsel to implement reasonable accommodations
- Monitor accommodation cases to ensure timely follow-up and closure
- Provide training and guidance to managers and HR teams regarding accommodation obligations and best practices
- Stay current on federal and state accommodation laws and EEOC guidance
EEO Compliance & Affirmative Action
- Support Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) administration and EEO compliance initiatives
- Partner with vendors on EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reporting
- Assist with NJ compliance initiatives including CEPA, gender equity training, and self-identification requirements
- Provide compliance guidance to recruiters and HR teams regarding hiring practices
Data & Reporting
- Prepare ad hoc workforce demographic and labor market reports
- Maintain accommodation and EEO tracking databases
- Analyze and scrub data from multiple systems for reporting purposes
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with 710 years of related HR compliance or accommodations experience required
- Manager will consider candidates with 5+ years and a Masters degree or 10+ years without a degree
- Strong knowledge of ADA, PWFA, FMLA, EEOC, VEVRAA, and related compliance regulations
- Experience managing workplace accommodations and the interactive process required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and SharePoint required
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- EEOC, affirmative action, OFCCP, and EEO-1 reporting experience preferred
- Experience drafting legally sensitive HR correspondence preferred
