Summary: Build and run a data migration and streaming architecture moving on prem DB2 to AWS PostgreSQL (raw landing) and then to AWS MongoDB (transaction cache), applying transformation rules so downstream apps can consume friendly data. Own MongoDB modeling and performance architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Design DB2PostgresMongo target architecture and cutover approach.
- Build/operate Precisely + Kafka pipelines (CDC, topics, replay, error handling).
- Define/implement transformation rules from raw relational data to MongoDB documents.
- Model MongoDB collections, indexes, sharding/partitioning, TTL/retention for cache use cases.
- Ensure data quality/reconciliation, security controls, monitoring, and runbooks.
- Partner with app teams on query patterns, SLAs, and schema evolution.
- Strong DB2/PostgreSQL and MongoDB design/tuning experience.
- Kafka streaming and CDC/replication experience (Precisely preferred).
- AWS fundamentals (networking, IAM, encryption, monitoring) and production operations experience.
