About this Role:

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Data & Integration Platform Engineer to own, develop, and operate two complementary platforms at the center of our enterprise data ecosystem: Databricks and Boomi. This role is responsible for building and governing the end-to-end flow of data across the organizationfrom enterprise applications and integrations through curated analytics-ready datasets that support business intelligence, AI, and operational decision-making.

The successful candidate will serve as the technical owner of both platforms, establishing standards, governance frameworks, and operating practices that will scale with the organization. This is a hands-on engineering role ideally suited for a professional who thrives in a greenfield environment and enjoys building modern data and integration capabilities from the ground up.

What You'll Do:

Integration Development (Boomi)

  • Design, develop, and maintain integration processes within Boomi AtomSphere connecting enterprise systems including JD Edwards, EcoSys, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Kronos, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/Forma), Bridgit, P6, LevelPath, Origami, and future applications.
  • Develop and maintain REST and SOAP APIs, data transformation maps, cross-reference tables, and reusable integration components.
  • Build event-driven, near-real-time, batch, and EDI/B2B integrations to support operational and supply chain business processes.
  • Administer the Boomi AtomSphere environment, including Atom and Molecule management, environment configuration, deployment pipelines, and release processes.
  • Establish integration standards, error-handling frameworks, logging practices, and reusable development patterns.

Data Platform Engineering (Databricks)

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Delta Live Tables, Databricks Jobs, notebooks, and Delta Lake architecture.
  • Build and manage Bronze, Silver, and Gold layer datasets within the Databricks Medallion Architecture.
  • Administer Unity Catalog, including data governance policies, access controls, lineage management, row-level security (RLS), and column-level security (CLS).
  • Collaborate with BI developers and business stakeholders to create optimized, business-ready datasets for analytics and reporting.
  • Support enterprise AI initiatives by maintaining clean, governed, and scalable datasets for Databricks Genie, Databricks Apps, and AI-powered business solutions.
  • Optimize data models, queries, and platform performance to support growing analytical workloads.

Platform Operations & Administration

  • Monitor platform health across both Boomi and Databricks environments and proactively resolve operational issues.
  • Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) related to data availability, freshness, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Develop monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for integrations and data pipelines.
  • Manage platform security, credential management, API security policies, and user access controls.
  • Partner with IT leadership to manage licensing, platform capacity planning, and infrastructure utilization.

Governance, Standards & Documentation

  • Develop and enforce development standards, naming conventions, version control practices, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of integrations, data pipelines, data owners, business stakeholders, and system dependencies.
  • Establish lifecycle management practices including change control, release governance, deprecation planning, and legacy system retirement.
  • Define and evolve enterprise data governance frameworks, ownership models, quality standards, and data stewardship practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Partnership

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise data and integration initiatives.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable integration and data platform solutions.
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and execution of integration and data engineering requests.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, IT Leadership, and Corporate IT teams.
  • Support roadmap development, platform strategy, and emerging technology initiatives.
  • Present platform performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Coordinate with software vendors, implementation partners, and consultants to ensure successful project execution and knowledge transfer.
What You'll Bring:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 68 years of experience in data engineering, enterprise integration, or platform engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated ownership and administration of enterprise-scale data or integration platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Boomi AtomSphere, including process development, API management, connector configuration, data mapping, and platform administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Databricks SQL, and modern data platform architecture.
  • Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
  • Experience with Python and/or PySpark for data engineering and transformation workloads.
  • Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, CSV, and EDI integration standards.
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns including API-first, event-driven, request/reply, and batch processing.
  • Knowledge of data architecture principles including Medallion Architecture, dimensional modeling, and star schema design.
  • Experience working within AWS cloud environments, including S3, IAM, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and enterprise architecture practices.
  • Experience integrating ERP, CRM, and project management platforms such as JD Edwards, EcoSys, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Boomi Professional Developer and/or Boomi Architect Certification.
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer (Associate or Professional).
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, or other enterprise integration platforms.
  • Experience managing API gateways and developer portals.
  • Knowledge of data product concepts including data contracts, discoverability, and event-driven data sharing.
  • Experience supporting post-acquisition integrations, multi-subsidiary organizations, or greenfield platform implementations.
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, SAML, mTLS, and enterprise identity and access management practices.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel required: Up to 10%.
  • Employee may be required to visit job sites, field offices, customer locations, and corporate offices as business needs dictate.
