Mine Operations Manager
Job Overview:
- Lead, organize, and supervise hourly workers to meet safety, operational, and quality goals.
- Ensure equipment, both stationary and mobile, is operated correctly following best practices.
- Plan for the long-term, including projects, process improvements, budgeting, and schedules.
- Provide training and maintain safety, health, environmental, and quality programs.
- Conduct audits and participate in process development activities.
- Coordinate with maintenance to schedule operations and meet sales targets.
- Support the development and execution of capital and annual budgets.
- Perform administrative tasks such as planning, scheduling, and reporting.
- Handle multiple tasks at once and work well with different personalities.
- Physically move throughout the plant, perform activities like climbing, reaching, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, and pushing
- Physical ability to move around the plant, climb, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 year experience in industrial production or 7 years if high school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience with operations planning software like JD Edwards.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with diverse personalities.
- Engineering background in manufacturing settings, industrial production.
- Experience as an Operations Supervisor or similar role.
- 20% ABIP variable compensation, potentially higher for the right candidate.
- Nationwide relocation available.
