About the Opportunity:

DMI, LLCis seeking a Jr. Technical Project Manager performs day-to-day management of activities pertaining to the functional and technical deliverables of the project to join us.

Experience with IT infrastructure project mgmt. (network security; server systems, networking)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Facilitating State agency and Master Contractor discussions / meetings
2. Identifying issues and risks, and recommending possible issue and risk mitigation strategies
3. Identifying critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria
4. Ensuring that performance is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and within budget
5. Providing solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reducing costs while maintaining or improving performance levels)
6. Monitoring issues and providing resolutions for up-to-date status reports
7. Demonstrating excellent writing and oral communications skills
8. Familiar with large organizational IT network management and maintenance services in managing projects or providing support, such as but not limited to:

1. Primary - network management, maintenance, and operations support;
2. systems maintenance and operations support
3. Security of customer data and assets, tools , policies
4. infrastructure management;
5. Network Operations Center (NOC) management;
6. technical services;
7. network security and certification services;
8. disaster recovery services including backup and restoration;
9. application server support and application support

Qualifications:

Education and Years of Experience:

This position requires a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related discipline. Candidates must possess a Project Management certification from the PMI or similar college level certification.

The proposed candidate must have at least two (2) years of general experience in project management and have a solid understanding of the PMI methodologies of project management.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Project Management Certificate; Desired: PMP and ITILv4

Additional Requirements:

The proposed candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience managing IT-related projects, preferably in an infrastructure support environment. The candidate should conceptually understand basic enterprise network infrastructure including network security, server systems and networking.

Background Requirements: Must be able to successfully complete a required fingerprint background investigation.

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Physical Requirements: None requiredfor this position.

Location: Primarily Remote but Candidate should be in the greater DC / Baltimore area; available for onsite visits 2-3 times per month.
