Job Summary:
  1. Operates crane in a safe manner according to safety guidelines and regulations.
  1. Conducts daily crane maintenanceinspectioneach day at the start of the shift.
  1. Retrieves material from storage to load onto processing equipment, trucks, or rail cars.
  1. Unloads inbound material from trucks and rail cars.
  1. Moves heavy materials forwarehousemanand parts cleaners.
Physical Requirements:Stand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Reaching, Repetitive MotionFunction in the Job:Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Job Function:
  1. Maintains housekeeping.
  1. Monitorswork area.
  1. Demonstrates ability and accepts responsibility to perform other duties assigned by theforemanas necessary to complete the shift.

5% Climbingapproximately 35-40steps up to and down from crane

Operators and operator trainees shall meet the following physical qualifications:

  1. Have vision of at least 20/30 Snellen in one eye, and 20/50 Snellen in the other, with or without corrective lenses;
  2. Be able to distinguish colors, regardless of position of colors, if color differentiation isrequiredfor operation;
  3. Hearing, with or without hearing aid, must be adequate for a specific operation;
  4. Have sufficient strength, endurance, agility, coordination, and speed of reaction to meet the demands of equipment operation;
  5. Evidence of physical defects, or emotional instability that couldrendera hazard to the operator or others, or which in the opinion of the examiner could interfere with the operators performance, may becausefordisqualification. In such cases, specialized clinical or medical judgments and tests may berequired.
  6. Evidence that an operator is subject to seizures or loss of physical control shall be reason for disqualification. Specialized medical tests may berequiredtodeterminethese conditions.
