This role is ideal for candidates with strong Computer Vision (RESUME) algorithm development experience and a passion for solving complex real-world imaging challenges in a fast-paced research environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for eye tracking and iris registration applications
- Improve algorithm robustness and accuracy under challenging imaging conditions
- Analyze algorithm performance, edge cases, and failure modes using internal and clinical datasets
- Design and prototype algorithms primarily using classical RESUME methods with selective ML support
- Perform benchmarking, statistical evaluations, and robustness analysis
- Collaborate with Applied Research and Software Engineering teams for solution development and production handoff
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or PhD preferred
- Strong experience in Computer Vision algorithm development
- Experience with iris detection, eye tracking, feature detection, geometry modeling, or registration algorithms
- Strong Python programming skills for rapid prototyping and research development
- Experience evaluating algorithm performance and debugging failure modes
- Machine Learning exposure supporting RESUME workflows
- C++ experience for production support and integration
- Background in statistics, benchmarking, and evaluation metrics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in an applied research environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
