2. JOB OVERVIEW / PURPOSE

To provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) team, leveraging SAP EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) at a subject matter expert (SME) level. Lead, plan, and schedule all maintenance and calibration activities across the region. Manage site Master Data creation and maintenance, as well as the Spare Parts Stores System.
3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
This role includes: Oversight of all Maintenance Work Order documentation, including initiating and expediting change controls. Issuing and reviewing completion of planned and unplanned work orders (Preventive Maintenance [PM], Predictive Maintenance [PdM], and Corrective Maintenance). Managing updates to preventive maintenance and calibration procedures. Collaborating with Business Unit Leadership, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Calibration Leadership, and Production Planners to schedule activities that minimize downtime and optimize planned windows. Acting as the regional Master Data Maintainer (MDM) for SAP PM. Main Responsibilities Act as the primary technical lead for PM planning and scheduling across the region. Resolve scheduling and planning conflicts with stakeholders, including Production, Laboratories, Engineering, Facilities, and R&D. Negotiate and prioritize timelines for corrective notifications. Ensure all required materials, SOPs, and work instructions are prepared prior to planning activities. Provide training and support to process users for accurate execution and documentation of work orders. Review weekly PM plans with area owners, assign work, and communicate updates to all relevant teams and managers for alignment. Maintain comprehensive documentation of PM planning performance, including backlog, completion rates, exceptions, and improvement opportunities. Oversee and enhance PM task lists and asset delivery processes by collaborating with Reliability Engineering, Project Delivery, Operations, and other SMEs to improve system reliability and recommend new technologies or techniques. Oversee spare parts inventory and related processes, including storage, issuance, ordering, and reporting of key performance metrics. Contribute to Total Life-Cycle Management for assets, providing data-driven recommendations for replacement or retirement. Build collaborative relationships across Business Units, Production Planning, Supply Chain, and New Product Launch to address reliability challenges. Maintain ongoing professional development in alignment with management guidance. Support new engineering projects to ensure seamless integration into preventive maintenance systems.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of SAP PM master data; respond to internal client inquiries regarding PM planning. Recommend technology improvements to enhance compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate as a team member to achieve organizational goals. Prepare purchase orders and review requisitions to support maintenance operations. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability; monitor shipments and resolve delivery issues. Address defective or unacceptable goods with maintenance staff and determine corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, deliveries, and maintenance supplies. Collect master data during system implementation, act as key user and train end users on SAP EAM. Lead team members, including planners, clerks, and coordinators.
4. PROFILE
Competencies, skills, knowledge & qualifications needed to fulfill the position. 4.1. Professional Experience & Specific Skills Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industries. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in SAP; experience with PM module and storeroom management is an asset. Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and decision-making. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with equipment, laboratory, and facility calibration, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance practices. 4.2. Relevant Qualification: (education and training) College diploma in Business, Engineering, Trades, or equivalent. Equivalent combination of education and significant relevant experience will be considered. 4.3.
