Client is seeking an experienced Engineer III to support engineering and project management activities related to midstream pipeline and hydrocarbon infrastructure operations. This role will support design, construction, optimization, and operational improvement projects involving transmission and gathering systems, compressor and pump stations, storage facilities, and measurement systems.
The ideal candidate will possess strong oil & gas industry experience, preferably within midstream operations, along with technical expertise in pipeline systems, facility operations, project management, and engineering analysis.
This role requires the ability to manage multiple engineering assignments, coordinate construction and operational projects, support process safety initiatives, and provide technical guidance related to pipeline and hydrocarbon processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Technical Support
  • Perform engineering activities related to:
    • Transmission and gathering systems
    • Compressor and pump stations
    • Measurement and regulation facilities
    • Hydrocarbon storage facilities
    • Dehydration plants
  • Support equipment/system design and optimization initiatives
  • Conduct pipeline sizing, valve sizing, hydraulic calculations, and liquid flow analysis
  • Assist with pipeline facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance activities
  • Evaluate pipeline and measurement system performance and recommend improvements
Project Management & Construction Support
  • Support engineering project management activities including:
    • Bid proposals and contracts
    • AFE preparation and cost management
    • Material and equipment selection
    • Construction planning and implementation
    • Schedule and timeline management
    • Change order management
  • Coordinate third-party contract resources
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) activities
  • Prepare engineering reports, project updates, and technical documentation
Operations & Process Improvement
  • Analyze operational issues and recommend improvements related to:
    • Capacity optimization
    • System operations
    • Operating costs
    • Equipment efficiencies
  • Conduct load studies and economic analyses for new projects
  • Support process safety and operational compliance initiatives
  • Research and interpret governmental regulations, industry codes, and engineering standards
Communication & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and construction teams
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively across multiple departments
  • Assist with implementation of operational and engineering process improvements
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in:
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum 3+ years of engineering experience
  • Oil & Gas industry experience required
  • Midstream industry experience preferred
  • Experience with:
    • Pipeline systems
    • Hydrocarbon processing facilities
    • Engineering design
    • Operations support
    • Project management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
