Spot Welder Assembler Shift 21
Join our Welding Department as a Spot-Welding Machine Operator / Assembler where youll help produce metal components used in a variety of manufactured products. In this role, youll operate spot-welding and assembly equipment to attach hardware and components to metal stamped parts while helping keep production moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Shifts Available:
- Shift 21: 6:00am 6:00pm, Friday Sunday (+$3.50/hour shift differential)
Starting Rate of Pay:
- $19.25 - $20.80 per hour base rate depending on experience.
- Operate spot-welding and assembly machines to attach hardware and components according to production specifications
- Set up and configure spot-welding and assembly jobs with assistance as needed
- Inspect parts for weld quality, alignment, and print specifications
- Monitor machine performance and report equipment or quality concerns
- Replace worn electrodes and tips as needed
- Record production activity and job progress in the ERP system
- Work from blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly role preferred, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in welding and assembly
- Ability to learn and perform equipment setups, identify and clear faults, and use inspection gauges
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Occasional lifting up to 65lbs
- Bend, reach, and handle parts throughout the shift
- Frequent handling of parts and machine components
- Required PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, MET guard safety shoes
