Job Description
` `Database Development & Optimization: Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. Perform rigorous query tuning and performance optimization using Explain Plans and TKPROF to ensure high-speed processing of large insurance datasets.
` `Linux Integration & Scripting: Navigate and operate seamlessly within a Linux/Unix environment, utilizing Shell scripting (Bash or Korn) to automate batch jobs, manage file transfers, and schedule background processes critical to daily insurance operations.
` `Data Modeling & Architecture: Collaborate on relational data modeling and schema design to support new insurance products, policy management systems, and claims processing. Ensure data integrity and security standards are met according to industry regulations.
` `ETL & System Integration: Develop and support robust ETL pipelines to migrate or synchronize data between legacy systems and modern platforms. Experience with external tables, SQL*Loader, and UTL_FILE for handling complex data formats is essential.
