The main function of a Data Engineer is to create
Create data assets and build data pipelines that align to modern software development principles that align to modern software development principles for further analytical consumption.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage.
Create prototype, write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database
Design, implement, automate and maintain enterprise data ETL processes
Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
Skills:
Experience with database technologies
Knowledge of the ETL process
Knowledge of at least one scripting language
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Demonstrated history of success
Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions
Knowledge of GenAI
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree

- Strong SQL knowledge (this is the primary skill set the manager will focus on during interviews)
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines
- Exposure to AI concepts/tools
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub
- Familiarity with different development modules/tools
- Snowflake experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Python is heavily used in the environment, so a good understanding of Python would be beneficial
