Project Engineer
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Project Engineer in Andover, MA for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Project Engineer will support Advanced Programs within an engineering and test equipment organization by coordinating project planning, schedules, procurement activity, documentation, and execution tracking. This role serves as a Control Account Manager, maintains Integrated Master Schedules, supports Advanced Test Equipment programs, and works across functional teams to keep engineering projects aligned with milestones, resources, and program needs.
Required Skills
- Bachelors degree.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- Active Secret clearance required to start.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Experience building relationships across functional teams.
- Ability to coordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects.
- Ability to serve as a Control Account Manager.
- Experience maintaining or updating Integrated Master Schedules.
- Ability to align schedules with milestones and resource plans.
- Ability to support material procurement activity, including requisitions, receipt verification, and kitting operations.
- Ability to identify and drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to improve project execution efficiency and documentation quality.
- Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- SAP experience.
- DFARS experience.
- Project management proficiency with Earned Value Measurement or EVMS.
- Experience working in a defense company with an engineering or manufacturing background.
- Experience supporting Advanced Test Equipment programs.
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedules, control accounts, material procurement coordination, engineering project tracking, documentation improvement, requisition tracking, kitting, receipt verification, and cross-functional program execution.
What Youll Do
- Serve as Project Engineer supporting Advanced Programs.
- Coordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of assigned engineering projects.
- Serve as Control Account Manager for Advanced Programs.
- Maintain and update the Integrated Master Schedule for Advanced Test Equipment programs.
- Ensure schedules align with program milestones and resource plans.
- Act as the primary material procurement liaison for Advanced Programs.
- Oversee requisitions, receipt verification, and kitting operations.
- Track and report project activities for Advanced Programs.
- Support project meetings, documentation, execution tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Identify and drive process improvements that improve project execution efficiency.
- Improve documentation quality and support repeatable project execution.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and program stakeholders.
