Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Madison, WI 53718
Duration: 12+ Months Contract with possibility of extension and FTE
Shift: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

Position Overview
  • Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support DSIR device upgrades and continuous improvement projects within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will focus heavily on change control management, SolidWorks CAD updates, verification testing, manufacturing support, and engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute Change Controls (MOCs) from request through final closeout using MasterControl
  • Perform CAD and drawing updates in SolidWorks for mechanical device components
  • Support continuous improvement projects involving machined metal, plastic, and sheet metal parts
  • Develop and execute verification plans, protocols, testing, and final reports
  • Route and maintain engineering documentation following GDP/GMP and SOP requirements
  • Perform part measurements, tolerance analysis, and support GD&T activities
  • Support manufacturing floor troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineers, and Technicians on cross-functional projects
  • Read schematics/drawings and support test fixture sourcing/build activities
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and compliance records
Required Skills
  • SolidWorks and CAD design experience
  • Experience with change control/MOC processes
  • Protocol writing, execution, and documentation experience
  • Manufacturing floor support experience
  • Strong documentation skills within regulated environments
  • Knowledge of GDP and GMP practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Familiarity with Windows-based test systems
