Propulsion Design & Integration Engineer

We are seeking a Propulsion Design and Integration Engineer to own the systems architecture, mass properties, packaging, requirements flow down, and coordination across propulsion, structures, aerodynamics, and controls. You will ensure the whole vehicle meets performance targets and integrates all subsystems into a coherent, testable design.

  • Developandmaintainarchitecturemodels,massproperties,centerofgravity/stabilitymargins
  • Performtradestudiesandrequirementsallocationsforperformance,weight,andspace
  • Createsystemlevel3DCADassembliesforintegrationreviews
  • CoordinatewithComponentleads(propulsion,materials,CFD,test)tomanageinterfaces
  • Establishsystemsengineeringartifacts(requirements,verificationmatrix,ICDs)
  • SupportsimulationactivitieswithinputtoGNCandCFDteams
  • Participateindesignreviews,hazardanalyses,andtestreadinessreviews

Requirements

  • B.S./M.S.inAerospace,Mechanical,orSystemsEngineering
  • 512+yearsexperienceinaerospacevehicledesignorsystemsintegration
  • Experiencewithmulti-disciplinedesignofpropulsionsystems,missileorlaunchvehicles
  • Strongsystemsthinkingwithdemonstrableintegrationdeliverables(ICDs,PODs,integrationplans)
  • ProficiencyinCAD(CREO,NX,CATIA)andsystemsengineeringtools

PreferredQualifications:

  • Experiencewithintegratedair-breathing/rocketsystems,hypersonicvehicles,ortacticalmissiles
  • Familiaritywithmodelbasedsystemsengineering(MBSE)processes
  • Experienceinleaddesignofcomplexaerospacevehiclesacrossmultipledisciplines
