Position Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Lead Mammography Technologist to provide both clinical expertise and leadership within an outpatient imaging setting. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supporting operational workflows, and serving as a resource for imaging staff while ensuring compliance with departmental standards and best practices.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mammography professional who enjoys leadership responsibilities while remaining hands-on in patient care.
Schedule
  • Monday - Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Every 4th Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and safety
  • Serve as a clinical expert and mentor for imaging team members
  • Coordinate daily departmental operations and workflow efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with imaging protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
  • Support process improvement initiatives and help optimize patient experience
  • Act as a resource for staff regarding complex imaging cases and procedural questions
  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain departmental performance standards
  • Promote accountability related to service excellence, safety initiatives, and operational performance
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist through ARRT (R)
  • Registered Mammography Technologist through ARRT (M)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory setting
  • Strong leadership experience in an imaging environment preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience leading imaging teams or coordinating department workflows
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in high-volume outpatient imaging settings
