Sigma Inc is seeking a highly skilled Scientist II Image Analysis & Digital Pathology to join our team in Ridgefield, CT. This role focuses on developing advanced image analysis pipelines for biomedical research, including histology and multiplex imaging.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize image analysis pipelines for both 2D and 3D biomedical images
- Perform quantitative analysis of:
- Histology
- IHC (Immunohistochemistry)
- IF (Immunofluorescence)
- Multiplex imaging datasets
- Apply machine learning and classical image processing techniques for:
- Feature extraction
- Segmentation
- Classification
- Integrate and utilize image analysis platforms such as:
- HALO
- Visiopharm
- QuPath
- CellProfiler
- Collaborate with pathologists, biologists, and data scientists to define analytical endpoints
- Validate image-derived biomarkers and ensure scientific rigor
- Document workflows and ensure reproducibility and compliance
- Support data visualization and reporting for scientific insights
- Enable cross-lab collaboration through algorithm and image transfer
- Bachelors degree with 3+ years of experience, OR
- Masters degree in a related scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong programming skills in:
- Python
- R
- Proven experience applying machine learning techniques in biomedical or pathology imaging
- Experience in:
- Cell image analysis
- Marker quantification
- Multiplex IHC / digital pathology
- Hands-on experience with tools such as:
- HALO AI
- Visiopharm
- QuPath
- CellProfiler
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent thinking skills
- Experience in tumor immunology and histopathology
- Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- Familiarity with biomarker validation and translational research
