Project Manager II
Atlanta, Georgia or Birmingham, AL (hybrid- onsite 4 days per week)
6-8- month contract
Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00per hr.

Our client is hiring a Project Manager II that will drive key projects across the Commercial Banking Group (CBG), working with cross-functional teams to execute initiatives on time and within scope. This role is primarily focused on project execution and coordination, not hands-on technical work, and will leverage subject matter experts (SMEs) for detailed technical tasks. The PM will manage multiple projects, including large-scale initiatives such as Treasury Management and AI platform implementation (Seismic), ensuring plans are developed, dependencies are tracked, and outcomes are delivered efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project plans from scratch in PlanView, including decomposition of tasks and milestone tracking.
  • Work directly with project teams and SMEs to gather tasks, assign responsibilities, and define deliverables.
  • Track and manage dependencies, prerequisites, and cross-team coordination to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams, including AD groups using Jira, to align technology execution with overall project plans.
  • Maintain visibility into project progress, risks, and issues, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support multiple concurrent projects, including:
    • Treasury Management Projects (primarily stakeholders in Birmingham, 12 20 team members, not fully dedicated)
    • AI Platform Deployment (Seismic) (primarily stakeholders in Atlanta, cross-business group rollout)

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related degree
  • 5 years of project management experience, ideally in commercial banking or treasury management.
  • Strong experience in large-scale project coordination, including working with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex project dependencies and milestones.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (PlanView preferred, but other PPM tools like Clarity acceptable).
  • Experience with both Waterfall iterative projects and Agile execution frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to navigate both business and technical teams.
  • Experience implementing or integrating third-party software solutions (e.g., Seismic) with internal platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled platforms or technology rollout projects.
  • Familiarity with Jira for technology team coordination.
