We are seeking a Cursor Engineer with strong full-stack or backend engineering expertise and hands-on experience using Cursor (AI-powered code editor) to accelerate software development, refactoring, testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate will combine solid software engineering fundamentals with advanced prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows to improve developer productivity and code quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Use Cursor IDE to design, develop, refactor, and optimize production-grade codebases
Leverage AI-assisted coding (inline prompts, multi-file context, refactor tools) to accelerate development lifecycle
Translate business and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable code
Perform AI-driven code reviews, debugging, and test generation
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Ensure secure, compliant, and performant code aligned with enterprise standards
Create and maintain technical documentation using AI-assisted tooling
Mentor team members on best practices for Cursor and AI-first development workflows
What are the Mandatory skills and skill proficiencies required for this position?
Core Engineering
Strong proficiency in one or more languages:
oPython, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C#
Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
Solid understanding of:
oData structures & algorithms
oDesign patterns
oSoftware development best practices
AI & Cursor-Specific Skills
Hands-on experience using Cursor IDE for:
oCode generation and refactoring
oMulti-file reasoning
oTest case creation
oDocumentation generation
Strong prompt engineering skills for software development use cases
Experience working with LLMs (GPT, Claude, etc.) in coding workflows
Ability to validate, harden, and productionize AI-generated code
DevOps & Tooling
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes
Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of security, performance, and scalability considerations
