Job Details
A Senior AWS Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing large scale data pipelines and architectures on AWS to support advanced analytics and business intelligence. They lead the development of scalable ETL processes, data lakes, and warehouses using services such as Glue, Redshift, EMR, and S3, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance. The role involves collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient cloud native solutions while driving automation and performance improvements. They are expected to implement best practices in data modeling, governance, and monitoring, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to architectural decisions. Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and adistributed computing frameworks is essential, along with a deep understanding of AWS cloud services and CI/CD practices. Ultimately, the Senior AWS Data Engineer ensures that data infrastructure is reliable, cost effective, and capable of powering real time and batch analytics at scale.
