Server Administrator
Responsible Area(s): Information Systems/ITGeneral Description
The Server Admin is responsible for demonstrating Client's Healthcare's Culture of Choice, managing and maintaining an organization's server infrastructure. The Server Admin ensures servers are secure, reliable, and optimized to meet organizational computing needs.
The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice and philosophies of Client
Key Responsibilities-
Install, configure, and maintain servers including web servers, email servers, file servers, and database servers.

Plan and implement server backups and disaster recovery procedures.

Monitor server performance and capacity utilization and troubleshoot issues.

Configure and manage server security settings including firewall rules and access control lists.

Perform regular system updates and patch management.

Create and maintain user accounts, groups, and permissions.

Manage storage devices and RAID arrays.

Monitor network traffic and performance.
-
Generate reports on server activity and performance.
-
Handle automation and scripting, Windows Domain Administration, and Active Directory Administration.

Track user account creation, changes, and deletions.

Evaluate proposed software and Windows configuration requirements for impact on existing systems.

Develop and implement maintenance procedures, SOPs, and security baselines.

Provide analytical and technical security recommendations to stakeholders and team members.

Conduct risk analysis for vulnerabilities, incidents, and change requests.

Recommend design, development, and integration solutions for software and hardware environments.
Bachelor's degree required. Equivalent experience and/or certifications may be considered.
Experience3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Decision MakingRequires independent judgment with supervision provided as needed to establish objectives and identify resources.
Problem SolvingProblems are generally non-routine but similar to previously encountered situations. Requires interpretation and application of appropriate solutions.
PlanningAbility to plan activities and priorities for one to three months ahead.
CommunicationRequires regular interaction with internal departments and occasional interaction with external agencies, medical centers, patients, and visitors.
Professional KnowledgeRequires strong professional-level technical skills with practical application in infrastructure and systems administration environments.
Required Certifications-
Valid Florida Driver's License (FDL) with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

VMware Certified Advanced Professional Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV 2020 or newer) within one year.

VMware Certified Design Expert Data Center Virtualization (VCDX-DCV)

Certifications or experience with Microsoft Server products, Dell, and EMC technologies.

Strong understanding of complex virtualization environments.

Experience designing, configuring, and deploying physical and virtual servers and storage arrays.

Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity best practices.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and high request volumes.
-
Familiarity with Windows/Apple operating systems and devices.
-
Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite, support desk platforms, and project tracking tools.
