The Evening Material Handler supports production andlogisticsby efficiently handling, moving, and loading materials, while also serving as a resource and informal leader within the team. This roleis responsible formaintainingwarehouse accuracy, fulfilling parts requests promptly, and ensuring safe and effective truck loadingall of which are essential to production success. The position requiresa high levelof safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of requests while prioritizing effectively. The individual must be capable of working independently, collaboratively within a diverse team, and stepping into leadership responsibilities as needed. This role also contributes to continuous improvement efforts in productivity, quality, effectiveness, and safety.

Highlights of your role:
  • Read,sortand process complete orders.
  • Attachappropriate labelsand tags to products and packages.
  • Ability to read and understand visual and written assembly instructions on a computer screen to retrieve parts from a pick list.
  • Assistwith the upkeep of warehouse inventory and with the loading and unloading trucks.
  • Issue parts to the lines as needed andoperatea forklift to move/deliver parts to the linein a timely manner.
  • Operate power hand tools, scanners, computers, and work with various other equipment.
  • Maintainan accurateinventory.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and report mechanical issues.
  • Maintain clean and organized docks and warehouse aisles.
  • Participatein cross-training acrosslogisticsfunctions.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following safety rules andparticipatinginreporting ofunsafe conditions or instances.
  • Notify the Supervisor of any mechanical or defective material issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisorsregardingparts, inventory, and safety concerns.
  • Support trainingofnew team members.
  • Identifyand communicate process improvements.
  • Operate advanced equipment
  • Promote a culture of safety and integrity by consistently following all safety protocols, reporting hazards, and engaging in training and initiatives.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
  • High School diploma or GEDrequired
  • Computer classes and/or production experienceishelpful, as is general MRP systems knowledge
  • Ability to obtain/maintaina forklift certification isrequired
  • Ability to obtain/maintaina Combi-Liftcertification ispreferred
