Technology Director Commerce
The Technology Director (Commerce) will lead end-to-end solution delivery across the full lifecyclefrom pre-sales and solution design through implementation and production deployment. This role is responsible for providing technical leadership across a portfolio of commerce initiatives, ensuring scalable architecture, high-quality delivery, and alignment with enterprise standards.
This individual will act as a senior technical advisor, partnering with internal teams and stakeholders to design, architect, and deliver complex commerce solutions within enterprise environments.Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical solutioning across the full lifecycle, including pre-sales support, solution design, implementation, and deployment
• Provide architectural oversight and ensure best practices across multiple concurrent initiatives
• Guide development teams and serve as the primary technical escalation point
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performing solutions
• Evaluate technical feasibility, complexity, and level of effort, offering clear recommendations and alternatives
• Support modernization efforts, including platform evolution and integration strategies
• Contribute to RFP responses, technical presentations, and solution strategy discussions
• Drive alignment with enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and development standards
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical thought leadership initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in eCommerce architecture, development, and systems integration
• Hands-on experience with enterprise commerce platforms (e.g., SAP Commerce/Hybris or similar)
• Background in Java and object-oriented programming
• Experience with headless architectures, APIs, and modern front-end frameworks
• Familiarity with SaaS-based solutions and cloud environments
• Experience leading customer-facing delivery engagements
