Responsibilities:

Howyoullmake an impactinthis role

  • Monitors andoperatescritical plant systems (e.g., boilers, refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems), ensuring safe and efficient performance.
  • Inspects equipment, adjusts controls, reads gauges, andidentifiesand resolves orreportsmalfunctions.
  • Performs water testing and chemicalmanagement, andcompletes minor and emergency repairs usingappropriate toolsand equipment.
  • Prioritizes and completes work orders, interprets schematics and specifications, and prepares necessary materials and supplies.
  • Maintainsaccuraterecords, equipment documentation, and workhistorieswhile responding promptly to emergencies.
  • Supports safe, efficient operations by supervising assigned staff,maintaininga clean work area, and adhering to safety, compliance, and cost-control standards.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

License:

  • City of Detroit First Class Refrigeration Operator license

WorkExpereience:

  • Three to five years
