Material Planning Coord III
Our client is seeking a Material Planning Coordinator III to support production planning and material flow in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic setting and can effectively manage priorities, systems, and cross-functional communication.
In this position, you will be responsible for executing and managing MRP-based production schedules, ensuring material availability, and supporting shop floor operations. You will serve as a key liaison between production, supply chain, and internal stakeholders to maintain on-time delivery and resolve material-related issues.
- Execute, issue, and control MRP-based production schedules
- Serve as the primary interface between production management, supervisors, and material control teams
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to assigned production areas
- Monitor material availability and identify risks such as shortages, obsolescence, or misallocated inventory
- Perform inventory audits and support cycle count activities
- Track and update work order progress and material consumption within MRP systems
- Process transactions including goods receipts and movement to the next stage of production
- Prepare and manage documentation such as release requests, shipping documents, and material requests
- Conduct demand planning reviews to align inventory with production schedules
- Analyze stockouts, lead times, and delivery performance to support production needs
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure material readiness
- Communicate material constraints and coordinate resolutions across departments
- Support process improvements and maintain accurate planning data (PFEP, vendor-managed inventory, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or a related field
- Associates degree in a technical or business-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic PowerPoint skills
- Experience working with MRP systems and production planning processes
- Ability to track and report on metrics such as scrap, cycle time, and reorder activity
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environments
- Experience with MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP
- Strong customer service mindset with ownership of deliverables
- Experience with process improvement and problem-solving initiatives
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
