Job Description

The Painters Assistant helps the lead Painter in performing interior and exterior painting projects across multiple facilities. This role focuses on surface preparation, job site setup, material handling, and cleanup to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality project execution.

In addition, this position supports Facilities operations with other aesthetic projects through exterior cleaning tasks throughout the agencys buildings and fleet of vehicles, ensuring a clean and professional appearance across all properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation & Setup
- Assist with preparing surfaces including sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, and cleaning
Painting Support
- Assist with priming and painting using brushes and rollers under supervision
Exterior Work & Power Washing
- Assist with power washing of building exteriors, walkways, and related surfaces
Fleet Management
- Perform power washing and cleaning of company vehicles, including buses, to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards
Material Handling & Equipment
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials between job sites
Cleanup & Site Maintenance
- Maintain clean and organized job sites at all times
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
Operations & Team Support
- Travel to multiple properties as needed
