EVS Assistant Manager
SUMMARY: Provides training, coaching, and counseling to all housekeeping employeesin order toassistin reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforcestrengthand compliance goals.Provides encouragement, setshigh expectations, and sets positive examples necessary to ensure a fun,excitingand professional working environment for our staff and a pleasant and entertaining experience for our guests.
- Facilitate hiring process,to includeinterviewing, training, and evaluating job performance.Provide ongoing training and development to allEVSpositions.
- Manage administrative duties, including payroll, operating expenses, and weekly forecasting reports.
- Complete weekly employee schedules to ensure coverage of public areas.
- Complete monthly inventory and supply orders. Oversee organization of supply storage areas, ensure properchemicalsdispensing stations are labeled according to HAZCOM standards, and aremaintainedinestablishedhigh standards.
- Communicate facility information on events, and compliance guidelines by conducting pre-shift meetings daily.
- Issue daily assignment checklists. Coordinate all special cleaning projects with supervisors and complete and post monthly and weekly facility projectschedulefor the department (i.e.window cleaning, hard floor, carpet cleaning, restaurants and back of the house areas etc.).
- Conduct weekly equipment inspections,reportand defects toengineeringteam.
- Develop withHuman Resources and support safety awareness programs.
- Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
- Responsible for supporting compliancetodepartmental budgets.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, anddemonstratessuperior customer servicein accordance withdepartment and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
- Assistswith oversight of the day-to-day cleaning of the Casino property.
- Inspects completed work to ensure work is completed and meets established standards.
- Responsible for ensuring OSHA standards are followed.
- Responsible for reporting property damage or any problems to managerin a timely manner.
- Assistsin providing distribution of work assignments.
- Responsible for ensuringthe compliancewith all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Associates/Technical Degree; 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all EVS team members in times of emergencies.
- Must be able tooperateall standard EVS equipment, including, but not limited to vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors,computer, copy machine, mop, broom, and hand-held radio operation.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, andpercentand to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests,staffand colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe organizations policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing,hiringand training employees; planning,assigningand directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing concerns; and resolving problems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also berequired.
- Ability to applycommonsenseunderstanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

STARTING SALARY:$50,000 to $55,000, based on experience
