Responsibilities:

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Loader Operator to join our team. The Loader Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to load, move, and distribute materials in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Operate Loader Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate loaders and other heavy equipment to move and load materials as required.

Material Handling: Transport materials such as soil, gravel, sand, and other aggregates to designated areas.

Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on the loader and related equipment to ensure optimal functioning. Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.

Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Participate in safety training sessions.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials moved, machine usage, and any incidents or observations related to equipment and work areas.

Coordination: Work closely with other team members, site managers, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Operate: Front End Loader, Forklift

Openness to cross train in different roles as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment.


Licenses/Certifications: Valid operator's license and relevant certifications (MSHA) preferred.


Technical Skills: Proficient in the operation and control of heavy machinery. Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.


Physical Fitness: Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50lbs, carrying, and operating machinery for extended periods.


Safety-Oriented: Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.

Attention to Detail: Ability to operate equipment precisely and carefully to avoid accidents and maintain productivity.

Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors. Ability to speak and read English.

Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during operations.

Time Management: Efficiently manage time and tasks to complete projects within deadlines.

Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other operators, laborers, and site managers to achieve common goals.

Environment: Outdoor work environment exposed to varying weather conditions.

Schedule: Full-time position with potential for overtime. Shift work may be required. 24 hour operation with 12 hour shifts.

Physical Demands: Frequent climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
