RATE RANGE: $40-45/hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Coordinator to support procurement operations within a fast-paced construction environment. This role will manage the procurement lifecycle for long lead equipment, OFCI/CFCI, electrical and mechanical systems, contractor equipment, and construction-related materials across multiple building programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives to ensure optimal procurement outcomes
- Analyze current spend, purchasing trends, supplier performance, and identify high-potential supplier alternatives
- Support and manage procurement activities for long lead equipment, including:
- GIS systems
- Substations
- Electrical infrastructure
- Chillers
- Cooling towers
- Pumps
- HVAC and mechanical systems
- Contractor-furnished and owner-furnished equipment (CFCI/OFCI)
- Coordinate procurement activities across multiple construction programs and building projects
- Monitor procurement schedules and follow up on supplier deliverables, submittals, and project timelines
- Manage procurement workflows from purchase order issuance through invoicing and closeout
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, engineers, and business units to support procurement execution and process improvements
- Monitor market conditions, supply chain risks, and long lead material availability
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company standards, policies, and contractual obligations
- Participate in procurement training and development under the guidance of senior procurement leadership
- Bachelor s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 2 5 years of procurement, sourcing, construction coordination, or related experience
- 2+ years with OFCI/CFCI and long lead procurement processes
- Strong Computer skills
- Experience creating presenations, dashboards, and presenting to high level executives
- Experience with Bluebeam/Revu, PowerBI, bluebeam/revu, excel, and inventory management systems
- Experience supporting procurement activities within construction, electrical, mechanical, or industrial environments preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills with both internal teams and external suppliers
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
- Exposure to electrical infrastructure, mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, or mission-critical construction projects
