Role Summary
Client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Snowflake to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of Dataiku and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL
- Build and optimize data models and transformations in Snowflake
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
- Utilize Dataiku for data preparation, workflow automation, and analytics use cases
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across data systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows
- Optimize query performance and storage strategies in Snowflake
- Document data processes, workflows, and architecture
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong programming experience in Python
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (query optimization, joins, window functions, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, data modeling)
- Working knowledge of Dataiku (data pipelines, automation, ML workflows)
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline design
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Good to Have
- Experience with R programming
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices
- Exposure to data visualization or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
