Machine Operator
Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Mentor, OH
Duration: Direct Hite
1st Shift - 6am - 2:30pm
Essential Functions:
" Perform repetitive machine operations (including reworking parts) such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming and smoothing parts
" Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures where established methods are followed
" Visually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surface
" Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks cracks or other irregularities from machined parts
" Inspect parts for conformance to specifications by visual examination and the use of gauges or other measuring instruments
" Accurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements
" Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations while maintaining a clean work area in orderly condition
" Read analog / digital MICS / COMPAIRTORS / PROFILOMETER
" Strong lathe background preferred
" Perform other related responsibilities
Qualifications:
" HS Diploma or equivalent
" Must have manual machining experience
" Minimum 1-2 years general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities
" Must demonstrate manual dexterity
" Must be able to read and understand blueprints
" Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics
" Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
" Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
