Position Overview:
Client University Healthcare is seeking an experienced HIM Lead Application Analyst for a 6-month backfill opportunity supporting Health Information Management applications. This role combines hands-on application support with team leadership responsibilities in a complex healthcare IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HIM applications and workflows
  • Support continuity of HIM operations during the temporary assignment
  • Coordinate and prioritize analyst workloads and service requests
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to application analysts
  • Act as escalation point for complex integrated system issues
  • Collaborate with HIM, clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders
  • Conduct fit/gap analysis and workflow documentation
  • Design, test, validate, and implement system enhancements
  • Support integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Review and assign incidents/change requests
  • Participate in 24x7 second-level on-call rotation

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 610+ years supporting healthcare applications or clinical systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in user-friendly language
  • Customer-focused with ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Willingness to obtain required certifications within 90 days if applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Healthcare, Business, or related field
  • Experience in hospital or healthcare system environments
  • Epic HIM module support experience
  • OnBase workflow support experience
  • Epic Gallery project experience strongly preferred
